Cold oysters, hot skillets, dock-light cocktails, and a room built for sandy shoes after the inlet.
Salt air, cold trays, hot skillets
The Clamshell is a small Point Pleasant raw bar built for the hours after the beach: briny oysters, cast-iron clams, cold martinis, and a dining room that still feels like the shore when the sun drops.
Come in sandy, order from the board, and stay for whatever the boats brought in that morning.
Before sunset, after the beach
The Clamshell runs on small rituals: a low-tide happy hour, Sunday clambakes on the deck, and rainy-night suppers for locals who know the quiet nights are usually the best ones.
$2 off select oysters, crisp fries for the table, and dock-light martinis poured cold at the bar.
Steamer clams, corn, potatoes, sausage, drawn butter, paper-covered tables, and a long sunset.
A one-night chalkboard plate for the regulars who show up when the boardwalk clears out.
Private events
Bring the group after the beach, take over the back deck, or let the shuckers build a raw-bar counter for the night. We keep it intimate, weather-aware, and easy to host.
Visit / reserve
Walk-ins are welcome at the bar. For the dining room or back deck, send a request or call the host stand.
For same-day tables or parties over eight, call the host stand. Patio requests depend on weather.
